We use treatments with solid research support, including CBT, ACT, and EMDR.
Sessions are available via secure video call or face to face, whichever suits you better.
We are a small psychology practice working with adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, or questions about their own neuropsychology. Our work is grounded in methods that have solid research behind them, and we try to be straightforward about what therapy can and cannot do.
We keep our caseloads manageable so that each client gets proper attention. You will work with the same psychologist throughout your time with us, which matters for the quality of the work. We are transparent about progress and costs, and we do not encourage people to stay in therapy longer than is genuinely useful.
We also work with organisations on stress management, manager consultation, and workplace rehabilitation. If you are unsure whether what you are looking for falls within what we offer, get in touch and we will give you an honest answer.
FAQ
No. You can contact us directly to book an appointment without a referral from a GP or other healthcare provider. If you are using private health insurance, check with your insurer whether they require a referral before they will reimburse the cost.
We are a private practice and do not operate within the Swedish public healthcare system (landstinget), so the standard patient fee (högkostnadsskydd) does not apply. Many private health insurance policies cover psychological treatment — contact your insurer to confirm what is included in your policy and whether pre-approval is required.
Some employers also offer access to psychological support through occupational health benefits. It is worth checking your employment contract or HR department.
This varies considerably depending on the issue and the individual. Some people achieve their goals in six to eight sessions; others benefit from longer-term work. We discuss this openly from the start and review progress regularly so you are never in treatment longer than is useful.
In Sweden, the title psychologist (psykolog) is a protected professional title regulated by the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen). It requires a five-year university programme and a supervised internship. The title therapist or psykoterapeut is also a protected title but follows a different training route.
Anyone can legally call themselves a counsellor or coach. If professional regulation matters to you, ask to see the practitioner's licence number, which can be verified on the Socialstyrelsen website.
Yes. Psychologists in Sweden are bound by professional secrecy under the Patient Data Act (patientdatalagen) and the Health and Medical Services Act. Information you share is not passed on to your employer, GP, or anyone else without your written consent, with very limited exceptions defined by law (such as serious risk of harm to yourself or others).
Yes. We offer video sessions via a secure, GDPR-compliant platform. Many clients find online sessions just as effective as in-person ones, and they remove the need to travel. The first session is often easier to assess in person, but this is not a requirement.
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Appointments cancelled with less notice than this are charged in full, as the time cannot typically be offered to another client at short notice. You will receive a reminder before your appointment to help avoid missed bookings.
